The wonder of herbs for acne
So you would like to use herbs for acne? I know how you feel. I used to use all the commercial products until I realised how many chemicals were in them.
The secret of clear skin is to cut out the chemical based products and do as I now do, use only chemical free products, and of course herbs.
- Herbs for acne that can be used include chamomile, lavender, juniper, bergamont, dandelion root and burdock root. These will reduce the toxicity of the skin and improve its overall condition, mildly antiseptic, will soothe and restore healthy skin.
- Other herbs, like echinacea and aloe vera have natural anti-inflammatory and powerful antiseptic and healing properties, perfect for acne prone skin. Witch hazel has excellent astringent properties, and is very effective for cleansing acne prone skin.
- Grape seed oil is light in texture and is easily absorbed. It is the perfect ingredient for our skin care as it is also known for its soothing, emollient and anti-oxidant properties.

- Lemon oil has antiseptic and toning properties, and is particularly good as a cleansing ingredient. Orange oil stimulates circulation, helping to detoxify and improve the health of the skin.
- Green tea is definitely worth trying. It can be drunk as a tea or used topically - such as added to creams to help soothe the skin. It contains natural anti-bacterial properties and antioxidants, and can help reduce inflammation and hormonal activity, so has many beneficial properties which promote all-round good health.
So this is all very good news for us to know that to use herbs for acne will help with the condition. But you need to take this advice seriously, and follow it consistently if you really want beautifully clear skin.
